The Public Theater returns to Vineyard Arts Project this summer to rehearse and present a reading of excerpts from CULLUD WATTAH. This beautiful new play by Erika Dickerson-Despenza is set during the water crisis in Flint, Michigan and will be directed by Candis Jones with movement director Adesola Osakalumi, and actors Nikiya Mathis, Renika Williams, Stori Ayers, Lizan Mitchell, and Alana Raquel Bowers. The only theater in New York that produces Shakespeare and the classics, musicals, contemporary, and experimental pieces in equal measure, The Public Theater (Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director; Patrick Willingham, Executive Director) serves as an advocate for the theater as an essential cultural force in leading and framing dialogue on important issues of our day.
Tickets can be reserved in advance via TicketsMV or by phone at 508-413-2104, or in person starting an hour before the performance. All tickets are donation-based, pay-what-you-wish. Any donations above $100 per ticket will reserve a seat in the first two rows.
